No drink has captured the hearts of Filipinos more than our beloved milk tea. With people patiently waiting in lines for new drinks to try, milk tea is no longer just a trend, it’s slowly becoming a Filipino staple. However, despite all the new stores and the saturated milk tea market, Chatime has found a way to shake things up and stay on top of its game.

As a milk tea brand hailing from Taiwan, Chatime quickly established itself as the go-to for high quality and authentic milk tea. This helped its expansion to countries like the USA, Australia, London, Malaysia, China, and Canada. It then opened its first store in the Philippines in 2011, a time when the milk tea craze was starting to grow. From the beginning, ChatimePhilippines was committed to providing high-quality drinks, ensuring freshness and flavor with every sip. It also prides itself on its innovation and bringing the fun in your milk tea experience.

“For us, innovation is an endless pursuit as we work to craft the ultimate freshly brewed tea drinks,” says Christopher Cua, Marketing & Finance Director. “We are not only committed to creating high-quality drinks that satisfy your milk tea cravings but with excellent customer service, we give our customers a fun flavored experience.”

Chatime Philippines has come a long way and has been with us as our love for milk tea has grown. With our craving for sweet and creamy products, it’s easy to see how we’ve come to love its all-time bestsellers: Pearl Milk Tea, Grass Jelly Roasted Milk Tea, Red Bean Pearl Milk Tea, Taiwan Mango QQ, Mango Smoothie, Taro Smoothie, Honey Oolong Tea Latte, Honey Jasmine Green Tea, Matcha Red Bean Milk Tea, and Chocolate Mousse.

Chatime Philippines was also the first to introduce the now popular Brown Sugar drink. Instead of overloading the brown sugar syrup to achieve that signature marble pattern around the cup, Chatime focused on flavor. They worked on the taste first and only when they were satisfied with it did they workaround to achieve that marble pattern. This resulted in a brown sugar drink that isn’t too sweet and hits the spot just right.

Truly, flavor and quality are at the top of Chatime’s list of priorities. When their Thai Milk Tea was initially phased out, the clamor for its return rang loud and clear. “Our ingredients are sourced straight from Thailand to give customers a truly authentic Thai taste. They are exactly the ingredients used by the vendors on the streets of Bangkok. So, we’re delighted to re-introduce it to the market.” says Christopher.

Now, less than a decade after landing on our shores, Chatime Philippines is proud to celebrate the opening of its 100th store and its introduction to an industry-first – the Tea Tap and Innovation Bar.

The Tea Tap and Innovation bar brings the social gathering aspect that is typically associated with beer and bars to the milk tea experience. It incorporates a more fun and unique experience, with the tea kegs placed under the counter, making the tap around eye level. With the system being front and center, customers can experience the tea making process, without obstructing the view of the store. The tap system is also closed to outside elements and includes a beverage cooler that ensures that the tea and milk tea are fresh and cold the entire time.
