First citizen appreciation report for 2019 goes to NTC
The Civil Service Commission (CSC) released the first citizen appreciation report for 2019 intended for the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC), headed by Commissioner Gamaliel A. Cordoba.
Said citizen was identified as Mr. Sam Florentino, who recently took the radio operator examination at the NTC and relayed his positive experience through the CSC Contact Center ng Bayan (CCB).
“I would like to commend this government agency for their efficient service which I have personally experienced,” wrote Florentino.
Florentino recalled how his time was not wasted as his seminar-orientation and examination both started at exactly 8:00 AM.
He also claimed that it was his first time to commend any government institution: “parang nasanay na ako sa magulong sistema sa mga government office na napupuntahan ko. But this time, I told myself I need to commend these government people for a job well done.”
CCB is where citizens usually report complaints on government services pursuant to Republic Act No. 11032 or the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018.
According to CCB’s 2018 accomplishment report, there were only eight or 1.91% public service appreciation reports received out of 419, the majority of which involved complaints against conduct of public officials.
DICT Acting Secretary Eliseo Rio, Jr. also congratulated the NTC through a Facebook post, which has been shared for over 1,000 times as of press time, and encouraged the Commission to keep up the good work in rendering fast and efficient service to the public.
