ACT-CIS pushes free acquisition of birth certificate, clearance for PWDs, single parents
To reduce the expenses of Persons with Disability (PWDs) and single parents in seeking for jobs, the ACT-CIS Partylist is pushing a bill to make the documents, which are to be used as job requirements for this sector, free.
According to ACT-CIS Representative and Deputy Majority Floor Leader Erwin Tulfo, under this bill, the documents such as birth certificate, NBI, police, and barangay clearance, even the health certificate will be free for PWDs and single parents.
“Instead of paying for these requirements, malaking tulong sa mga PWDs at solo parents natin ang matitipid nila,” Tulfo said.
Currently, there is an existing law that these requirements will be free but only for first time job seekers.
