Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan led the turnover ceremony, which marked a key step in the local government’s continuing support for police modernization. In addition to the new SWAT vehicles, City Hall also plans to provide 30 more police vehicles by the end of 2025.

CCPS Chief Police Colonel Joey T. Goforth thanked the city government for the new units and urged his officers to remain committed to public service while treating residents with respect and compassion.

“The new vehicles from the city government are a big help, especially for our anti-criminality operations. Everyone can be assured that CCPS will continue to fulfill its mandate to rid Caloocan of crime and keep our communities safe,” Goforth said in Filipino.

Beyond equipping the police force with new vehicles and gear, Caloocan’s local government has also implemented other public safety measures. These include expanded street lighting projects, enhanced disaster and emergency response programs, and the hiring of additional traffic safety personnel.

The city’s initiatives come as part of its ongoing campaign to ensure faster emergency response and bolster law enforcement visibility in neighborhoods across Caloocan.
