Market vendors’ party-list group among top choices in 2025 elections

MANILA — Market vendors’ party—list group Sulong Mga Batang Quiapo landed among the top choices in the latest survey conducted by the customer-centric market research company Tangere.

A statement released over the weenend said that in the Tangere survey conducted from Nov. 13 to 16, Sulong Mga Batang Quiapo, a first-timer joining the midterm elections in May 2025, was in 20th place with a 1.07 percent voter preference, largely supported by Metro Manila voters.

This means Sulong Mga Batang Quiapo is expected to secure one seat among the 44 seats allocated to party-list groups.

Sulong Mga Batang Quiapo was organized to promote the welfare and protect the rights of market vendors across the country.

Its program includes providing skills training and legal aid to market vendors to empower them and help them attain socioeconomic security.

The Tangere survey attributed the preferences to party list advocacies, particularly those focused on marginalized sectors, farmers and the agricultural community.

The survey utilized a mobile-based respondent application with a sample size of 2,400 participants.

Regional representation included 12 percent from the National Capital Region (NCR), 23 percent from Northern Luzon, 22 percent from Southern Luzon, 20 percent from Visayas, and 23 percent from Mindanao.

Employing stratified random sampling with quotas, the survey maintains a margin of error of ±1.96 percent at a 95 percent confidence level, ensuring robust and accurate data representation.
