DigiPlus to join FTSE Index
DigiPlus Interactive Corp. (DigiPlus), the fastest-growing digital entertainment group in the country, has achieved another milestone by securing a coveted position in the prestigious FTSE Global Equity Index Series (Micro Cap) in its latest semi-annual review.
DigiPlus head Andy Tsui expressed elation over the company’s inclusion in the FTSE index.
Tsui said it is a “testament to our commitment to shareholder value and team dedication, reinforcing our robust business model.”
DigiPlus will join the FTSE Index on March 15.
Tsui said it was a landmark achievement considering the Index’s influence among global institutional investors and a benchmark for investment decisions worldwide.
“This recognition validates our growth trajectory and reinforces investor confidence in our long-term prospects,” Tsui sais in a statement.
The FTSE is renowned for its comprehensive coverage of the global equity market, providing investors with valuable insights and benchmarks to assess investment opportunities.
The inclusion of DigiPlus in the Index’s Micro Cap segment further underscores the company’s emergence as a key player in the digital technology sector.
This came months after DigiPlus reported a net income of ₱2.1 billion in the first nine months of 2023, or a remarkable tenfold growth from 2022.
Since venturing into the digital segment in January 2022, DigiPlus has rapidly amassed a formidable user base.
It offers online games, like the highly popular Color Game, which has further solidified DigiPlus’ position as a trailblazer in the digital entertainment sphere.
