Prosecutors’ League of the Philippines (PLP) Elects New Set of Officers on Last Day of 32nd National Convention in Davao City

Members of the Prosecutors’ League of the Philippines (PLP) elected a new set of officers on 30 March 2023, the last day of its 32nd National Convention in SM Lanang, Davao City.

The incoming officers are:
President – Regional Prosecutor Al Calica
Executive Vice President (Exec VP) – Regional Prosecutor Rommel Baligod
Secretary General – Provincial Prosecutor Mary Jane Zantua
Treasurer – Assistant City Prosecutor Anne Grace Lim
VP for National Capital Region – City Prosecutor Cynthia Madamba-Luang
VP for Luzon – Provincial Prosecutor Evillo Pormento
VP for Visayas – City Prosecutor Liceria Rabillas
VP for Mindanao – Regional Prosecutor John Magdaraog
Public Relations Officer – Assistant City Prosecutor Ferdinand Parayno
Auditor – Senior Assistant City Prosecutor Rosanna Montojo
Assistant Auditor – Provincial Prosecutor Marvin Ngayawan

The new members of the Board of Directors were elected a day earlier on 29 March 2023.

The new PLP officers ran unopposed, and received overwhelming votes of confidence from the members present for the election.

Outgoing PLP President, Regional Prosecutor Irwin Maraya, turned over the PLP banner to incoming PLP President RP Calica in a simple ceremony, which followed right after the new officers were proclaimed winners.

Among the programs of the new PLP officers and board members are the implementation of the Survivorship Benefits Law for Retired Prosecutors, including the finalization of its implementing rules and regulations; and the continuation of the PLP Life Benefits for Prosecutors, such as Hospitalization, Mortuary and Laboratory Assistance.
