NTC FOI efforts recognized for third straight year

In a recent 2020 Freedom of Information (FOI) Awards ceremony, the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO), through the Freedom of Information – Project Management Office (FOI-PMO), recognized the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) as one of the Top Requested and Performing Agencies in the eFOI Portal.      

The NTC was part of an elite group of government agencies with 500 and above requests with at least 90% closed or resolved transactions.  This was the third straight year the NTC’s FOI efforts was recognized by the PCOO.     NTC FOI officer, Divine N. Dacquioag, was also recognized as one of the Best FOI Officers during the ceremony. NTC Commissioner Gamaliel A. Cordoba commended FOI officer Divine N. Dacquioag and the entire NTC family for the recognition.

Cordoba added that the NTC will continue to adhere to President Duterte’s call for transparency in all of the Agency’s tasks by strictly abiding with the FOI Program.       

PCOO Secretary Martin Andanar sincerely thanked all FOI champions, decision-maker/receiving officers, civil society organizations and government partners who have been pillars of efforts in public service delivery especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.
