FEU Alabang to host 2019 ASAIHL International Conference
Since 1956, the Association of Southeast Asian Institutions of Higher Learning (ASAIHL) has organized academic and scientific colloquia for its member schools — now numbering 245 strong — in the form of an annual international conference. For 2019, Far Eastern University (FEU) Alabang is hosting the gathering to highlight the FEU Group of Schools’ continuing commitment to providing future-ready learning.
ASAIHL is an association of higher education institutions from Asia, Europe, and Oceania. It aims to promote global development in education, strengthen and cultivate research undertakings, and advance quality teaching and instruction. The 2019 conference, organized under the theme “Reconfiguring Universities for the Future,” will be attended by educators, researchers, and scientists from universities around the world.
To be held on July 25–26, said symposium will address a variety of sub-themes such as knowledge sharing in the fourth industrial revolution, technology integration and instructional design, creativity and flexibility in higher education, and quality assurance and relevance.
Member institutions and interested candidates are encouraged to attend and learn more about emerging challenges for universities in an era of rapid and widespread disruptive technological changes. Deadline for registration is on March 31, 2019.
FEU Alabang is the newest campus of the FEU Group of Schools. It was inaugurated in 2018 in time for the university’s 90th anniversary. The first higher-education institution inside Filinvest Alabang’s Central Business District, FEU Alabang was developed to address the strong demand for accessible quality education in what has become a highly urbanized area in the southern part of Greater Metro Manila.
