Emirates introduces new Philippines country manager to PHL officials, stakeholders
Emirates Airlines formally introduced its newly appointed Country Manager for the Philippines, Khalid Al Zarooni, during an intimate dinner hosted by the airline’s Senior Vice President for the Far East, Orhan Abbas, on Wednesday evening.
The gathering also served as a tribute to outgoing Country Manager Saeed Miran, recognizing his service and contributions to Emirates’ operations in the Philippines.
Among those who attended the event were Presidential Special Envoy for Trade and Investments to the United Arab Emirates Kathryna Yu-Pimentel, Tourism Undersecretary Stanley Ng, Department of Tourism consultant Rose Aquino-Valeriano, Atty. Reggie Puno, Ivan and Yvonne Yao of Lucerne, Ernest and Arlene Cu of GCash, Emirates Philippines Marketing Manager Barbie Gonzales, and Ferdie Salvador of Bilyonaryo News Channel.
During the event, Emirates reaffirmed the importance of the Philippine market, where it currently operates 32 weekly flights between Dubai and Manila, providing passengers with extensive connectivity through its Dubai hub to destinations across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Americas.
“Emirates has maintained a strong presence in the Philippines for more than three decades and remains one of the country’s leading international carriers, serving both Filipino travelers and the large overseas Filipino community in the United Arab Emirates and beyond, according to Yu-Pimentel.
The airline also plays a key role in supporting tourism, trade, and business links between the Philippines and the UAE through its extensive global network, she added.
