Japan and Philippine officials met last week to strengthen partnership and cooperation on disaster risk reduction and management (DRRM) at Camp Crame, Quezon City.

The Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF) and Japan Ministry of Defense (MOD) representatives visited the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) and during their meeting with Philippine officials, the various systems, mechanisms, and efforts relative to the Philippines’ DRRM were presented and discussed.
