‘Take Care of Water’ campaign launched in PH on World Water Day 2024

In an effort to increase awareness about water conservation, the “Take Care of the Water” campaign was launched in the Philippines on March 22, World Water Day.

The drive goals to empower children aged 7-10 to become stewards of water, which is a vital resource.

The campaign involves equipping children with a water kit containing essential tools such as a backpack, sustainable waterdrop, leaflet, and poster, as well as conducting engaging activities where students will learn and implement water-saving practices, including using the water drop to conserve water through creative measures on water reuse.

Science teachers are expected to actively participate and lead class discussions to reinforce learning and encourage the sharing of experiences on water conservation.

“We believe that educating the younger generation about water conservation is pivotal to securing a sustainable future,” said Samantha Betia, Southeast Asia marketing head of ACCIONA, a global leader in sustainable infrastructure and solutions, which introduced the campaign in partneship with PAREF Southridge and PAREF Woodrose schools.

“Through the ‘Take Care of the Water’ campaign, we aim to instill the importance of water conservation in children and empower them to take meaningful action.”

Javier Ruiz, EPC Director of ACCIONA AGUA, stressed their dedication to addressing water scarcity and sanitation challenges through both operations and innovative projects.

” This year, through the Take Care of the Water campaign, we aim to educate and empower children as conservation champions, extending our message beyond classrooms to homes and communities,” he said.
