PCMC holds first ‘Bata Congress’
The Philippine Children’s Medical Center (PCMC) has held its first ever Bata Congress designed to promote and strengthen Filipino values, healthy lifestyle practices, and rules to stay safe on roads.
Around 20 children from 6 to 8 years old attended free seminar-workshops on Proper Handwashing, where importance of proper hygiene as basic tool for disease prevention was taught; and Road Safety, where the young ones learned about road rules and precaution.
Topics on Filipino values were likewise discussed to reinforce the youth’s knowledge about distinct Filipino values on family, religion, and etiquette.
Dr. Michael M. Resurreccion, Department Manager of PCMC’s Medical Services was the brain behind Bata Congress, which was conducted April 22, 2019, at the PCMC Hospital Conference Room, as part of PCMC’s weeklong 39th anniversary celebrations.
“The seminar-workshops upholds the mandate of the PCMC to deliver quality specialized pediatric healthcare,” noted PCMC Executive Director Julius A. Lecciones.
