Pandacan fire victims receive aid from Act-Agri Kaagapay
The Act-Agri Kaagapay Organization, led by philanthropist Virginia Rodriguez, has distributed relief goods to at least 160 families victimized by a huge fire that struck a residential area in Pandacan, Manila last Thursday.
Rodriguez personally led the distribution of the relief goods to the fire victims. The relief packs contains essentials like coffee, noodles, mineral water, soap, alcohol, sugar, rice and canned goods.
According to Rodriguez, she was immediately moved upon learning of the huge fire that struck a residential area on Dapo St., West Zamora, Pandacan, Manila.
She then immediately went to a grocery store and bought goods to help provide something to the fire victims.
She said she wanted to help the fire victims in her own little way.
For their part, the fire victims expressed gratitude to Act-Agri Kaagapay for helping them.
Rodriguez is a former reporter turned businesswoman and philanthropist.
She is also the author of the book “Leave Nobody Hungry” which aims to spread organic farming in the country and is now being used as reference by agricultural students and farmers.
