Established last year, the ACT Agri-Kaagapay initiative initially took root in San Nicolas, Binondo, Manila, and has since expanded its reach to various corners of Metro Manila, Visayas, and Mindanao.

Businesswoman Virginia Ledesma Rodriguez, renowned for her book “Leave Nobody Hungry,” which delves into organic farming, emphasized the transformative potential of modern technology, gadgets, and social media in the lives of every Filipino.

“As we welcome 2024, reflecting on the events of 2023, it is disheartening to observe that we still grapple with persistent challenges, particularly in the agricultural sector. The Philippines continues to face issues of food security and soaring prices of basic commodities,” Rodriguez commented.

Motivated by these challenges, Rodriguez established ACT Agri-Kaagapay to focus on supporting the beleaguered agricultural sector, with a particular emphasis on assisting millions of farmers in the country.

ACT Agri-Kaagapay sets itself apart as more than just an agricultural organization; it is an organization driven by a sincere goal to achieve tangible success in farming through the adoption of best practices and modern technology from around the world.

Rodriguez expressed her optimism, stating, “soon, our country will no longer be plagued by food crises if we unite in the battle against poverty and hunger. By combining our experiences, knowledge, best practices, and technology, we can bring about meaningful development in agricultural areas.”
