Foundation recognizes performing chief executives, representatives in PH

Performing chief executives and representatives nationwide were recognized following the latest result of an evaluation done within June 25 to July 5, 2023.

The RP-Mission and Development Foundation Inc. (RPMD) has announce the results of the nationwide evaluation known as “Boses ng Bayan,” which recognizes the outstanding city mayors and district representatives in the Philippines.

Dr. Paul Martinez, Executive Director of RPMD, emphasized that these prestigious accolades are bestowed upon performing public officials from various regions, determined by performance ratings provided by their respective constituents. Only the top-performing City Mayors and District Representatives within their regions qualify for inclusion in the list.

In this non-partisan and independently conducted survey, Joy Belmonte of Quezon City emerged as one of the premier city mayors, securing an impressive rating of 95.73%. She shares the top position with Eric Singson of Candon City, who received a commendable score of 94.86%. Following closely in the second tier of this assessment are Art Robes of San Jose del Monte (91.67%), Benjamin Magalong of Baguio (90.91%), and Nikko Mercado of Maasin (90.88%).

The evaluation process for City Mayors is based on seven key criteria: service delivery, financial acumen, economic progress, leadership governance, environmental conservation, social initiatives, and engagement. Meanwhile, the assessment for District Representatives focuses on three primary parameters: district representation, legislative performance, and constituent service.

In the third position, several distinguished leaders stood out, including Eric Africa of Lipa (89.72%), Jonas Cortes of Mandaue (89.71%), Indy Oaminal of Ozamis (89.32%), Ipe Remollo of Dumaguete (88.94%), Samsam Gullas of Talisay (88.93%), Bambol Tolentino of Tagaytay (88.85%), and Ahong Chan of Lapu-Lapu (88.78%). The fourth place was occupied by notable individuals, including Jerry Treñas of Iloilo (86.79%), Ma. Ester Hamor of Sorsogon (86.63%), Vilma Caluag of San Fernando (86.55%), and Baste Duterte of Davao (86.51%).

The survey also recognized other proficient City Mayors who have demonstrated outstanding leadership. This includes Krisel Lagman-Luistro of Tabaco (85.78%), Pao Evangelista of Kidapawan (85.75%), Rey Uy of Tagum (85.64%), Bruce Matabalao of Cotabato (85.37%), John Dalipe of Zamboanga (84.27%), Caesar Dy Jr. of Cauayan (84.26%), Maila Ting of Tuguegarao (84.11%), and Roxanne Pimentel of Tandag (83.91%).

In the recent evaluations of the House of Representatives, House Speaker Martin Romualdez earned an impressive performance score of 95.32% from the residents of his jurisdiction in Leyte. He leads the rankings, closely followed by distinguished representatives such as Sandro Marcos of Ilocos Norte (94.81%), Kristine Singson of Ilocos Sur (94.57%), and Duke Frasco of Cebu (94.55%), all of whom are in a statistical tie for the top position alongside Speaker Romualdez.

In the second tier, esteemed representatives include Toby Tiangco of Navotas (93.83%), PJ Garcia of Cebu (93.75%), Camille Villar of Las Pinas (93.64%), Chiquiting Sagarbarria of Negros Oriental (93.59%), Stella Quimbo of Marikina (93.56%), Marivic Co-Pilar of Quezon City (93.22%), Oca Malapitan of Caloocan (93.14%), and Jolo Revilla of Cavite, who achieved a rating of 92.75%.

Occupying the third tier are notable individuals such as Jay-jay Suarez of Quezon (92.16%), Ralph Recto of Batangas (91.83%), Joey Salceda of Albay (91.69%), Mannix Dalipe of Zamboanga City (91.34%), and Gloria Arroyo of Pampanga with a score of 91.32%.
