Insular Life (InLife), the country’s first and largest Filipino life insurance company, has received its 7th consecutive Domestic Life Insurer-Philippines award from the Insurance Asia Awards.

In his acceptance speech during the awards ceremony held on July 27 at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, InLife President and CEO Raoul Antonio E. Littaua underscored the importance of winning the award as a testament to the Company’s service to the Filipinos.

“To win an award is good fortune. To win the same award seven years in a row, that must be a remarkable record of service to our countrymen.”

In 2022, InLife strengthened its focus on ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) and sustainability. The company invested in renewable energy and green bonds, as well as launched a new fund, the Systematic Global Sustainable Investment Fund, that enables its customers to invest in a globally diversified portfolio that promotes ESG values while enjoying monthly payouts.

It continued its advocacy for social responsibility through the Insular Foundation, and women empowerment through its InLife Sheroes Advocacy and Movement. These two initiatives address some of the biggest sustainability issues today: education, health, women’s inclusion and empowerment, environment sustainability, and disaster relief and response.

InLife also received the Top-Performing Company in the Life Sector, as well as the Three Golden-Arrow awards from the Institute of Corporate Directors, proof of InLife’s strong level of support to ASEAN corporate governance principles.

While advocating for ESG, InLife put in place a system-wide Voice of the Customer Program deploying customer listening posts in various platforms to have an outside-in perspective of its stakeholders and ensure that InLife’s employees and agency force are more agile and ready to respond to customers’ needs.

“InLife receiving its 7th consecutive Domestic Life Insurer award from Insurance Asia is a great responsibility, but it should fuel us to constantly work for the betterment of our fellow Filipinos’ lives through the products and services we offer. Only by doing this can we achieve our mission of giving them a Lifetime for Good.” Littaua said.

The Insurance Asia Awards is organized by Insurance Asia, a part of the Charlton Media Group that publishes Singapore Business Review, Hong Kong Business, Asian Banking and Finance, Insurance Asia, Asian Power, and Health Care Asia, among others.
