For the uninitiated, Jameson Irish Whiskey is just another bottle on the shelf. But for those who have experienced its distinct flavor and smoothness, they know that each bottle is filled with rich history and tradition. Established in Bow Street Dublin in 1780 by John Jameson, Jameson has grown to be the top selling Irish whiskey in the world and is as close to Ireland as you can get in the Philippines.

“Jameson is Ireland’s most iconic whiskey and we felt that there’s no better way to share this whiskey than to bring St. Patrick’s Day to Manila.” shared Fintan Cannon, Jameson’s Brand Ambassador. “St. Patrick’s Day is a revered tradition full of parties, parades and an overall great time with friends.”

As the sun set last March 16, bright green string lights started to glow along Z Street in Poblacion, signaling to passersby that the fun was just about to begin. The Jameson Bar (that’s The Meeting Point on other days) was at the front and center of the celebration. Together with partner bars – Z Hostel, The Apartment, The Ruins and Nokal – Poblacion was the perfect place to gather for a glass of Jameson whiskey before a night of pub crawl.

From games in different bars, to Jameson ambassadors introducing the world-famous Irish whiskey to party-goers, Poblacion was alive and kicking for St. Patrick’s Day. International DJs and the very best local live acts came together for a great night of celebration and topped it off the Irish way: with a glass of
Jameson whiskey amidst great company.

Jameson was the perfect drink for everyone throughout the night, with its balance of flavors from a blend of rich pot still whiskey and the finest grain whiskey triple distilled for exceptional smoothness. A definite hit of the night was Jameson Ginger and Lime, which added a bit of ginger ale and freshly squeezed lime for a refreshing and bubbly drink!

What started as a religious holiday celebrating Saint Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland and the man who brought Christianity to the Irish people, has evolved into a celebration of all things Irish. Though many people wear green on St. Patrick’s Day, we find that Jameson’s green bottle is just as good.
